Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
I was so convinced i could write coherently last night! So very very wrong.

- wonder about demon possession in fiction. Some poem said evil enters like a needle but i think it must feel, if it were real, like nyquil capsules stuck in your throat and you can't not swallow but each swallow only pushes the feeling farther down down into your toes. your eye itches and your hand scratches at it but it's not your hand and it's not your eye and it's not you screaming.

- bruce wayne smiles from his cell. safer in here. the bat can't get him in here.

- regina spektor and amanda palmer would create lovely music but it wouldn't fit right.

- want an alcoholic liver pickled in my skin. will break inside and i won't be able to tell until the doctor can't hide his giggles anymore and makes the face.

- perseus and the patriarchy would be good band name but no one would listen even with snakes in hair. andromache and the pillars maybe but i'd fall of the stage and also i can't sing only frogy foam like a dog that can be killed by men who love mockingbirds. they got edgar allen poe that way.

- think some people must remember what it's like to be born but too afraid to ask not a topic for conversation only how could I know? thing it's why some people jump off of buildings. I had a friend who said he found god in pornography but i think we find our mothers in the jumping only mine would never dare. easier to find religion in scrapes of paper than to reach for family in the abyss.

In relevant to CDJ news I poked about at words for characters but ended up with far too many phrases.

Stella - like a lizard on a window pane, ginseng, velvet glove for hands of steel, dust, contained, circles under eyes.

Ophelia - fragile, glass, tiny birds that flitter when they ought to fly, wandering words, Be all my sins remember'd, bent not broken, ballerina feet, hands that reach.

Jim - an ecstasy of fumbling, bright colors, quick fingers, the wrong genre personified, 'special', movement.

Nina - hungry, bored, cats in captivity, purring, freddy krueger not jason voorhees, the illusion, sharp nails and angles, blood as fashion accessory, laughter with no joy, swearing sweetly, lick, gnaw, grab, marrow from your bones.

Candy - all curves, open wide, negates but not negative, watching but not listening, contrast, spite slipped in with youth, clutch, distrust, alliteration, choices.

Armand - stiff upper lip, regret, put aside, humour, subtly, quietly in corners, grammar, alfred, checks & balances.

So I will count this as successful.

Are you kidding? That's all fabulousness embodied, the lot of it.

And now I'll never again be able to look at a sparrow hopping about the pavement without thinking of Ophelia.

The office is mostly empty this morning. Don't tell. ♥

Also Armand will now be in the corner of every Library scene for me, that tiny glimpse from the corner of your eye.

Never ever. ♥

He takes pictures sometimes. Clyde will have to help him work these new computer slide projectors. "These are all the things you thought you got away with."

I maintain stream of thought/consciousness when you are strung out is the best ever. I have written most of my narratives when my brain has been elsewhere -- not cotton-woolish but just zoning out and words happening anyway, y'know?

And this is kind of the best. All those bits and fractured pieces can be woven together into something. I loved the jumping off buildings piece. That's almost a poem.

Also I love the word-association thing. I'd do it with mine, but I already over-use certain words when writing them xD ALL GOOD THINGS, RM. ALL GOOD THINGS.

♥ I do think that, fast and lose grammar aside, it can get you in touch with the parts of your brain you weren't going to pay attention to otherwise. Balloons & Words float.

♥♥♥ :* and YES.

And! "regina spektor and amanda palmer would create lovely music but it wouldn't fit right." -- Word, so much word. They're both in my list of fabulous female singer-songwriters, but aren't so much compatible. Regina Spektor and Fiona Apple, on the other hand... I feel like their sweet, adorable-whimsical, off-kilter, literally-off-beat-timing would work together so so so well.

I was just thinking about how its been a trend for sometime now to pair up the high soprano with the gravely voiced man, or the base with the tenor, only I hardly ever see it done with two ladies. My brain got away from me from there but oh. Fiona & Regina: sounds like a band in its own right.
