lulz I think the most hilarious thing about The Shit Gets Real plotting phase is how it's turned my brain into a math challenged gambling man. No wait! I changed my mind! Put this character up for potential murder too! Nick Fury eye patches for everyone!

I don't know what it says about me that I'm willing to throw all of my babies under a bus but then I think about anyone els doing that and I make sad grabby hands.

I wonder how a Jewish vampire would work out. We always associate them with Christianity somehow but the relationship with guilt could be so interesting to explore. Do you mention your old faith to the others in your troupe who come from all over, who come from so many different time periods, who may just as easily consider you a miserly demon hiding you tail even among that superior sorry lot? Are you relieved when crosses don't burn or does it wound your faith further? Do you still root for the Merchant of Venice or have you shed your identity with your mortality? There's a fellow vampire bragging about his time in the crusades and you don't rip him to shreds because of the trouble it would cause and he doesn't ask you what side you would have been on because there's a new 'us' and 'them' that isn't religious anymore. I wonder.

what about after ten years? twenty? maybe with distance an artist could form a grudging affection. or swear to do better.

• On the one hand I really love Rosie for Ophelia, being a model means she has a wide variety of expressions and can be both Nina & Ophelia at any given time, but you guys. Transformers 3 is so bad. I just can't. I knew it was going to be bad when I picked her but. So bad.

When I was shorter I used to call fragments flagelments because spelling and I were not on speaking terms. As awkward almost words go I'm very fond of this one. It makes me think of words that link to one another and move through the mind like tadpoles in a stream. They will get you marked down on your essays but I enjoy them all the same.

In relevant to CDJ news I poked about at words for characters but ended up with far too many phrases.

Stella - like a lizard on a window pane, ginseng, velvet glove for hands of steel, dust, contained, circles under eyes.

Ophelia - fragile, glass, tiny birds that flitter when they ought to fly, wandering words, Be all my sins remember'd, bent not broken, ballerina feet, hands that reach.

Jim - an ecstasy of fumbling, bright colors, quick fingers, the wrong genre personified, 'special', movement.

Nina - hungry, bored, cats in captivity, purring, freddy krueger not jason voorhees, the illusion, sharp nails and angles, blood as fashion accessory, laughter with no joy, swearing sweetly, lick, gnaw, grab, marrow from your bones.

Candy - all curves, open wide, negates but not negative, watching but not listening, contrast, spite slipped in with youth, clutch, distrust, alliteration, choices.

Armand - stiff upper lip, regret, put aside, humour, subtly, quietly in corners, grammar, alfred, checks & balances.

So I will count this as successful.

I'm late to the party- but why not. All my current characters are on the table and if you want to throw in any unmentioned old ones that's a ok too. ♥

The trouble of trying to write a creature who looks human and is trying its best to act human but still making it clear that they are decidedly not is a common one around these parts I've heard.

Mostly I am just glad for current amazing cr, silly memes, and James S. Ruebal for reminding me that I can/should take my time.
